Founded in January 2025, 4800 Broadway Center was created as a home for a homeschool community called LOOP Cooperative. As we have grown into our new home, we have created an ecosystem that jives with LOOP in mission and purpose, but is even bigger.
4800 Broadway is an intergenerational ‘third space’ that is growing in response to our community. We have a large multipurpose room that has seen neighborhood meetings, community meals, karaoke nights and original children’s plays. We have an industrial kitchen (with pantry) that has welcomed a number of group cooking nights, lessons, and some of the better local chefs honing their crafts. We have a growing institutional library, complete with a banned book section. There’s a movement room, that’s hosted various yoga classes, somatic practices, martial arts classes, and even some impromptu dance parties. We have a quiet coworking space with two adjacent private offices, a social media room, and 3 separate offices available for practitioners of various disciplines. There’s also a fabric lab, with various industrial and residential machines–including the states only rentable feltLOOM. In 2026, we hope to add a tool library, a makers space and an art gallery.
